I, D. Aravinthan, am a physicist by profession specializing in spintronics and nonlinear dynamics. I earned my Ph.D. in the emerging field of Spintronics under the guidance of Prof. M. Daniel at the Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics, Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli, India. Following my Ph.D., I served as a Research Associate (Post-doc) under the supervision of Prof. M. Lakshmanan (S.S. Bhatnagar Awardee, Professor of Eminence & DST-SERB National Chair) at the Centre for Nonlinear Dynamics, Bharathidasan University, India. Subsequently, I held the position of Assistant Professor (On Contract) at the Department of Physics, Central University of Tamilnadu, Thiruvarur, from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, I worked as an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Computational Modelling, Department of Science and Humanities, Chennai Institute of Technology, Chennai. Currently, I serve as a Senior Lecturer in Physics and Head of the Department of Sciences, Mathematics, and Education at St. Joseph University in Tanzania, located in Dar es Salaam.
I was born to Devarasu and Vijayalaxmi in the hamlet of Iluppaiyur in Tiruchirappalli district, Tamil Nadu. I am the elder son in my family and have a brother. In June 2019, I married Sivaranjani, and we have a child named Magizhnan born in October 2020. My educational journey began at the Panchayat Union Elementary School in my village and continued at Government High School, Thinnanur, and later at Nehru Higher Secondary School, Puthanampatti. I completed my schooling in 2005 and pursued my undergraduate studies in B.Sc. Physics at Nehru Memorial College, Puthanampatti, a rural college near my village. Subsequently, I completed my post-graduation and Master of Philosophy in Physics at Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. I have a keen interest in reading books, working on computers, and embracing technology.
